| 英文描述 | Botulism is caused by the potent toxin produced by CLOSTRIDIUM BOTULINUM. May be due to ingestion of carrion by phosphorus deficient ruminants or ingestion of toxin from contaminated feed. Evidence of toxin in the feed and clinical signs are used to make a presumptive diagnosis in most cases. Outbreaks of this disease may occur in a herd. |
